For many years I did kundalini yoga with Kalliopi and enjoyed it greatly, since her teachings always had that very special, inspiring touch and a wonderful peacefulness. The kriyas we did together gave me a rounded feeling of body fitness together with spirituality and mindfulness, which she supported through her earnest and calm way. To me she is a deeply sensitive and serious teacher who encourages through her absolute presence and her good humoured ways.
As I am a schoolteacher, dealing with youngsters of different ages, I also had the pleasure to take part in a course about mindful and nonviolent communication, that was taught by Kalliopi. The atmosphere of sharing experiences with our daily dealings in class or within our private life, that Kalliopi created, was absolutely wonderful and helpful in many ways. The sessions included yoga, meditation and breathing exercises, interwoven with teachings about mindful communication and reflecting about own experiences. It broadened the insight into my daily dealings with students, family members or friends in many ways and I was guided into a much more peaceful and thoughtful way of communicating. I hope I will be able to improve it more and more. The inspiring seed was definitely laid by Kalliopi.

For me, every lesson in conscious communication and yoga is very valuable. You refocus on the essentials in life, both with other people and with yourself. You remember that you can think and act differently, that you have a choice and don't have to be trapped in patterns. For me, yoga is about gently exercising and feeling your body. We have been a part of Kalliopi’s Yoga lessons for almost three years during our sojourn in Athens and both my wife and me keep only the most pleasant memories of these times. Wherever Kalliopi taught us Yoga she always did so with great expertise, spirit and committment. She always put a focus not only on the technical and physical aspects of the Yoga exercises she introduced us to, but a premium on the unity of body and mind.
